The wonderful Charlie Hunnam as Zieke.
Randy Harrison as my Simon. He's simply perfect.
The lovely Judy Butterfield as my Petra Blue.
(These are simply the people I see that inspire me to create the characters in my book. I have no aspirations regarding hollywood or otherwise, and Miss Butterfield is a singer, not an actress. Check out her music; it's beautiful.)

So The Scene Is Set.
It is a Saturday evening. The TV, positioned to the left and just out of my line of vision from my computer chair, offers little distraction beyond the occasional flicker in my periphery. This is unfortunate, since all I want at this moment is something that can put the thought of my task out of my mind. Of course, it's stupid to think that the menial entertainment offered by whatever mindless programming is being played on whatever mindless network will serve to take my mind off of what has possessed my brain for the past few weeks. Nothing else has offered so much as the smallest moment of freedom from the constant nagging of my new obsession, my new world - my book.
So here I sit, my tiny laptop readied with a blank document and an extensive online dictionary tabbed on my browser. The despairingly small bottle of Coke Blak sitting on my desk is supposed to last me the night, but I'm sure I'll need at least ten more. I contemplate running to a corner store to stock up, but I decide my task cannot be put off further. My favourite online radio station offers sweet relief in the form of Reel Big Fish, and I feel my concentration being sharpened by the mix of caffeine, aspartame, and raucous sound.
It's time to begin.
